View more storiesA local rancher’s fence was knocked down last week south of Mountainair and approximately 7 to 10 donkeys (including a baby) escaped.
They have been missing for about a week and, according to town officials, are likely near Highway 55 and Dry Lake Road, approximately 20 miles south of Mountainair.
The Town of Mountainair asks the community to help locate the escaped donkeys. If you are traveling in that area and spot the missing donkeys, call 501-226-8303.
