Correction
In the Dec. 29 issue of the Independent, we incorrectly stated that Darius Semore Welch, a suspect in the killing of Brian Enright in Edgewood, was the victim’s son-in-law. At the time of publication, law enforcement was not clear on the familial relationship. Police now say that Welch was the stepson of Enright.
