Bernalillo County opened a new outpatient recovery center Friday, expanding access to substance use disorder treatment services for residents seeking help.

The Bernalillo County Recovery Support Center, located at 517 Cardenas Dr. SE, hosted an open house to showcase its intensive outpatient therapy services. The facility is operated by Endorphin Power Company through a contract with the county’s Behavioral Health Authority Division.

“The BernCo Recovery Support Center is a part of Bernalillo County’s long-term strategy to fill critical service gaps and empower individuals to lead fulfilling lives beyond clinical treatment,” Vice Chair Adriann Barboa said in a press release. “This center will create new opportunities for people seeking recovery to get help, find hope, and thrive.”

The county-owned facility offers intensive outpatient therapy, counseling services, case management and group programs designed to support individuals in recovery while they maintain their daily routines. The building features multiple meeting rooms for therapy and support groups, office space, a kitchen, reception area and audiovisual technology for hybrid programming.

Bernalillo County funded the $6 million building through behavioral health gross receipts tax revenue, grants and general funds.

Endorphin Power Company brings more than 20 years of experience in recovery support services. The organization’s team includes licensed clinicians, case managers and volunteers providing wraparound care.

“Our goal is to offer real-time support to those who are ready to take the next step in their recovery journey,” said EPC Executive Director Jeffrey Holland. “We’ve created a safe and engaging environment that supports clients and their families every step of the way.”

The center accepts both self-referrals and provider referrals. Community members can contact EPC at 505-268-3372 or visit endorphinpower.org for more information.
