Dozens of candidates filed to run for various offices in Bernalillo County on Monday, the filing deadline for the upcoming municipal and local elections.
Mayor of Albuquerque
Seven candidates filed to run for mayor: Mayling Armijo, Louie Sanchez, Alex Uballez, incumbent TimKeller, Daniel Chavez, Eddie Varela and Darren White.
Albuquerque City Council
District 1: Stephanie Telles, Ahren Griego, Daniel Leiva and Joshua Neal.
Telles was seven “verified” signatures short of the 500 required by July 7 to qualify for the ballot but said she has “the right to file my declaration and the more than 500 petition signatures I collected, which is exactly what I did.”
The Albuquerque Board of Ethics and Campaign Practices expanded an investigation into fraud allegations against Leiva last week regarding his qualifying contributions.
District 3: Christopher Sedillo, Teresa Garcia and incumbent Klarissa Peña.
District 5: Athenea Allen and incumbent Dan Lewis.
District 7: Incumbent Tammy Fiebelkorn is running unopposed.
District 9: Colton Newman and incumbent Renée Grout.

In the Village of Los Ranchos de Albuquerque, four candidates filed for trustee positions: George Radnovich, Gilbert Benavides, Gwenn Baldwin and John Edward. Christina Argyres filed to run for municipal judge.
Four candidates filed for councilor positions in the Village of Tijeras: Matt Armenta, Jonathan Ortiz, Joseph Patron and Gloria Chavez.
School Board Races
For Albuquerque Public Schools District 3 board member, three candidates filed: Isaac Flores, Rebecca Betzen and Danielle Gonzales.
Joshua Martinez filed for APS District 5 board member, while Brian Laurent filed for APS District 5 as well.
Two candidates each filed for APS Districts 6 and 7. For District 6: David Ams and Margaret Bowman. For District 7: Kristin Wood-Hegner and Courtney Jackson.
Windie Burns filed for Moriarty-Edgewood School Board District 5.
Community College Board
For Central New Mexico Community College boards, three candidates filed for District 1: Elizabeth Alarid, Randal Peters and Henry Andrews.
Two candidates each filed for Districts 5 and 7. District 5: Nancy Baca and Kenneth Pascoe. District 7: Robert Schoenfelder and Ronald Dauk.
Other Local Positions
Three candidates filed for Ciudad Soil & Water Conservation Board supervisor: Charlene Pyskoty, James Glass and Kaelan Dreyer.
Tim Eichenberg filed for Albuquerque Metropolitan Arroyo Flood Control Authority District 3 director. Two candidates filed for District 4 director: Ronald Bohannan and Santosh Mody.
Three candidates filed for Paradise Hills Special Zoning District Board commissioner: Elizabeth Haley, Peter Reser and Gail Baker.
All filings are currently listed as pending approval.
