The East Mountain Democratic Party of Sandoval County is set to host a special community meeting on June 19, featuring Deb Haaland as the guest speaker.
The event will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Cañon De Carnué Land Grant Hall, located at 340-364 NM-333 in Tijeras.
Haaland, who is now a candidate for Governor of New Mexico, will address local Democrats on the key issues facing East Mountain communities.
Known for her role as the first Native American Cabinet Secretary in U.S. history and her long-standing advocacy for Indigenous and environmental rights, Haaland’s candidacy marks a significant development in the state’s political environment.
This event gives community members a chance to speak up, learn about key policies and hear directly from state leaders.
Organizers say the meeting will focus on “issues that matter to East Mountain Democrats” and will encourage attendees to take meaningful action.
The gathering is open to the public, and attendees are encouraged to RSVP online at bit.ly/3Yte7Sx or by scanning the QR code available on the event flyer.
